PhilHealth extends services to OFWs in Hong Kong

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) conducted an outreach mission for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Hong Kong last September 12 to 15.
 
Upon the invitation of the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, PhilHealth sent a four-person team to facilitate the outreach mission which included information activities, registration of new members, and issuance of Member Data Records and identification cards to current members.
 
Information Desks offering one-on-one consultations were set up at the Bayanihan Centre in Kennedy Town and the Consulate General in the Admiralty area.
 
Chona Yap of the Overseas Filipinos Program led the medical team and announced the campaign over a radio program "Good Evening Kabayan."
 
The PhilHealth team was able to provide services to more than 1,000 OFWs during the three-day outreach mission.
