Phl embassy in Israel cites Pinay X Factor Israel winner

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Embassy in Israel awarded a certificate of recognition to overseas Filipino worker Rose Fostanes after being declared last Jan. 15 as the grand winner of the first X Factor Israel.

Philippine Amabassador to Israel Generoso Calonge awarded Fostanes a certificate of recognition for her achievement in the talent show, where she received numerous standing ovations from the judges for her performances. Calonge congratulated Fostanes and told her that being the first winner of X Factor Israel made her country and fellow Filipinos proud, the Department of Foreign Affairs reported. Calonge added that Fostanes's victory proved how talented Filipinos are and promoted a positive image of the Philippines in Israel and the world.

In turn, Fostanes thanked the Philippine Embassy and her fellow Filipinos who supported her throughout the competition.

The 47-year-old Fostanes join the competition October last year. She is working in the country as a caregiver.
