3 returning OFWs win P10K each in gov't raffle

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Three returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) on Thursday won P10,000 each from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Development Bank of the Philippines as part of the government's 'Pamaskong Salubong' raffle.

Arthur Bautista, of Cagayan Valley; Ricardo Jimenez, of Tagum City, Davao del Norte; and Gabino Catilo Jr. of Batangas City won in the raffle upon their arrival from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1. The OFWs came from Bahrain via Gulf Air flight GF-154 together with more than 200 other Filipinos.

OWWA said aside from the raffle, loot bags containing towels, vitamins and 2014 calendars were also given away as part of the gesture to thank migrant Filipino workers who contribute to the Philippine economy.

OWWA said another 'Pamaskong Salubong' will be held on Dec. 23.
