Pinoy caregiver wows Israel’s X-Factor judges
MANILA, Philippines - Rose Fostanes, a 46-year-old Filipina caregiver in Tel Aviv, wowed the audience and four judges with her rendition of the Shirley Bassey hit “This Is My Life†during her audition on “X Factor Israel†aired Saturday.
The video, uploaded on That’s My Tomboy of Israel fan page that went viral on the Internet, showed Fostanes receiving a standing ovation from the audience and a yes vote from all the judges. She made it to the next round.
The video post attracted more than 60,000 shares, 40,000 likes and more than 7,000 comments on Facebook.
Fostanes, who hails from Taguig City, is the lead vocalist of a band who performs in a small bar in Tel Aviv, according to her fan page in Facebook.
Filipinos had wished her luck and were impressed with her performance, including composer Ryan Cayabyab and singer Jim Paredes, who mentioned her in their Twitter posts.
