BERLIN - Police say a small plane has crashed in northern Germany, killing four people.
German news agency dpa reported that the crash happened Friday morning near the town of Rotenburg, southwest of Hamburg.
The plane had taken off from Rendsburg, near Germany's border with Denmark, and crashed as it prepared to land at an airfield in Rotenburg. It came down in countryside a bit more than a mile (under 2 kilometers) short of the airfield and caught fire. Police say no one on board survived.
There was no immediate information on the victims' identities or the cause of the crash.
