Another girl reportedly molested on moving bus in Indian capital

NEW DELHI (Xinhua) -- While grief-striken and angry protests were held against gang-rape Saturday night, another girl was reportedly molested on a bus in the city.

The girl was molested by an off-duty conductor on a moving government-run bus Saturday night in Tansen Marg district of New Delhi, reported The Times of India online edition on Sunday.

The girl was spotted crying on the bus by cops, when the driver stopped at a police post to inquire about the way to Lajpat Nagar, according to the newspaper.

The cops have arrested the accused, Ranjeet, and detained the driver of the bus.

Thousands of protesters held rallies in the Indian capital and some other cities on Saturday to demand justice for Nirbhaya, the 23-year-old gang-rape victim who died at a hospital in Singapore after fighting for her life for nearly 13 days.
