Like dreamers do
MANILA, Philippines - It’s been a little over a year since Vania Romoff released a collection but that’s not to say the designer has slowed down. Quite the contrary, in fact. And if you need any convincing, the proof is in her designs.
While her signature aesthetic still prevails in the fall 2017 collection, a bevy of textures, bright hues, and silhouettes figure into the mix, resulting in a slew of dreamy designs ranging from the subtle to the dramatic. On one hand, diaphanous dresses in soft shades of blush and cream are trimmed with ruffles and bows to delicate effect. On the other, floor-grazing gowns in statement hues are embellished with outsized florals, glinting silver sequins, structural pleats, and lush ostrich feathers. The addition of unexpectedly elegant looks, including a wine-colored ankle-length trench coat worn over a languid slipdress and a frilled silk playsuit cinched at the waist with a large bow, steer eveningwear into territory that’s as playful as it is luxurious. It’s this stunning variety and distinct design sense that reflects the spirit of her label — one that evokes a total appreciation for beauty and a quiet strength in femininity.
To herald her comeback collection, Vania Romoff partners up with Ayala Land Premier to stage her first-ever solo fashion presentation, Happeningtomorrow. The showcase is also the kickstarter for the luxury property developer’s #TheEditionLive event series.

P.S. Looks like the yearlong wait was worth it.
