Where mod cool is still the rule

- Alessandra Tinio -
One of thee coolest eras for music, film and especially fashion was without a doubt the ’60s. Everyone aspired to look like The Beatles, The Who and the first supermodel, Twiggy. With simple pieces and easy-to-do combinations, the style of the mods, or modernists, still echo the polo shirts we see today. Mod fashion ushered in the mini skirt and the op-art prints of geometric shapes and polka dots, and saw men sharply dressed in buttoned-up collared shirts, never without a tie. The look defined a generation, just as much as Bench has in recent years, having been an essential part of our generation. After 18 years, the evidence of its longevity is the label’s classic retro cuts that never go out of style. Take simple pieces to put together a ’60s look with today’s Bench apparel. It’s all about collared shirts and mini skirts. Navy, red, and white tints, as well as nicely-shaped op-art prints give the look that shows mod cool is still a rule.
