MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino resort worker was abducted by a group of men from Pulau Singahmata near Pula Bum-Bum in Semporna, Sabah, the Malaysian government confirmed on Thursday.
The unnamed Filipino worker was abducted at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday along with a Chinese tourist, Malaysian state news agency Bernama said.
"We leave it to the police to conduct further investigation and provide a full report," Mohammad Mantek, director-general of the Eastern Sabah Security Command said in the statement.
