Woman injured in acid attack in Cainta, Rizal

MANILA, Philippines — A woman was arrested after splashing muriatic acid on another woman following an argument over a man in Cainta, Rizal on Friday.

According to the Calabarzon police, a security guard who saw the incident arrested the suspect, who was identified as alias Anjeanette, at around 9:30 p.m. in Barangay San Juan.

Investigators later found that Anjeanette confronted the victim, identified as alias Rose, at the fastfood restaurant where the latter works as a service crew.

Rose was brought for treatment at the Medical City in Pasig while Anjeanette was arrested and detained at the Cainta police station.
