MANILA, Philippines -- Gilas rookie Terrence Romeo caught the fancy of fans including Los Angeles Lakers' guard Jordan Clarkson with his razzle and dazzle plays in Gilas' 77-69 win over Chinese Taipei on Monday night.
Clarkson was caught on TV animatedly and wildly cheering for Romeo after the Gilas playmaker eluded past Taiwan's most popular player Lin Chin Chieh then hangs in the air while colliding with American import Quincy Davis before finishing off with a left handed layup.
The crowd, including the whole Gilas bench and Clarkson, went wild after that sequence.
Clarkson later told Sports5.ph's Carlo Pamintuan that "the kid has some moves."
