VIRAL: Boy accidentally punches hole in $1.5 million painting

MANILA, Philippines - What is the worst thing that could happen when you are visiting a museum? Accidentally damage a $1.5 million worth painting.

A Taiwanese boy made headlines when he accidentally tripped and punched a hole inta century old painting. The 6.5 feet tall artwork, created by Italian artist Paolo Porporawhich, dates back to the 1600s. Titled "Flowers," the piece is part of a collection of 55 artworks in Taipei.

The unfortunate moment was captured by a CCTV. It shows the boy unintentionally tripping over a platform that made him lean on the the painting to break his fall.

Luckily, the organizers did not ask the boy or his family to pay for the damaged painting since the cost of the repairs will be covered by insurance.

Meanwhile, according to Sun Chi-hsuan, the painting has been restored and is now back on the exhibition since Monday.
