American obstetrician Laura Stachel, dubbed among the CNN Heroes this year, flew in to the Philippines after learning of the damage in medical facilities caused by deadly typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) in November.
Stachel brought with her several Solar Suitcases from her foundation We Care Solar to facilitate deliveries in maternity centers in disaster zones in the Visayas.
