Tigers, Bulldogs ready for war
NU will be led by reigning MVP Bobby Ray Parks, big man Emmanuel Mbe, and shooters Gelo Alolino, Jeoffrey Javillonar and Robin Rono.
UST will have a full arsenal on deck with head coach Pido Jarencio reiterating time and again that they are now fully loaded to battle with anyone this year.
“Kumpleto na kami hanggang dulo. May bala na kami na pang-laban. Marami na kaming ace players ngayon, kaya na hanggang huli. (We are now complete. Up until the final buzzer we have the guns. We have a lot of aces up our sleeve. We are ready to win now), ” said Jarencio, who has praised the completeness of the Growling Tigers in several post-game press conferences.
Mythical team member Karim Abdul will lead the Tigers’ charge, backstopped by gunners Jeric Fortuna, Jeric Teng, Clark Bautista and Aljon Mariano.
Parks though has stated that it’s a new day and they have just as much chance as everybody if they prepare hard for the playoffs.
“It’s a clean sheet. The elimination results are out of the way. We will prepare hard because they beat us twice in the elimination round,” said Parks.
The UST-NU clash is scheduled at 12 p.m. followed by the Ateneo-La Salle tussle at 3:30 p.m.
