The Blue Eagles return everyone from the last champion team sans captains Kirk Long, Emman Monfort and Raymond “Bacon” Austria. Ryan Buenafe is returning after his hiatus. And what looks like a loaded team on paper is even more loaded in reality. Seven-foot center Greg Slaughter is back to torment teams and smack people inside. Buenafe will provide the moxie that made him the Finals MVP against FEU two seasons ago. While he may have gained weight, he’s back to game shape and throws his body around with reckless abandon. Nico Salva returns for a final tour of duty, hoping for another ring to complete a hand. Oping Sumalinog is set to take over Kirk Long’s role as the lead stopper in Norman Black’s vaunted defense.
