UAAP Season 75 - UE Red Warriors

Well, UP is no longer the doormat. UE is. Years after that impressive class that included human pogo stick Elmer Espiritu, bruiser Parri Llagas and unflappable Rudy Lingganay, UE is left scrambling for talents after them. The undeveloped bench guys of Dindo Pumaren are ultimately carrying the fight for Jerry Codinera now. But take heart Warriors faithful. Rhoi Sumang is a building block and so is Chris Javier. If the Warriors claim a scalp or two, that would be a good year already. Sumang looks like an LA Tenorio out there, and he is very much capable of a triple double with a nose for steals unrivaled since Eric Salamat was picking pockets two years ago. Javier has the potential to be a beast down low if he just fills out and develops a post game. But his defensive instincts are great for the college level and would be much better under a summer of training with the Defense Minister nonetheless. Three years down the road, these two young men will be leading the Red Warriors deep into the season.
