They, too, are big Pacquiao fans (part 2)

MANILA, Philippines – Legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao’s appeal has transcended beyond the unimaginable — and that’s a cliché nowadays. The Filipino icon is already a crossover star, gaining the admiration of the planet’s citizens with his boxing omnipotence and colorful personality.

With the Pacman’s fight against the dangerous Mexican banger Antonio Margarito just around the corner, philstar.com decided to produce a four-part video series that offers a glimpse on what makes Pacquiao click — this time in the eyes of a foreigner.

Veering away from the typical man-on-the-street interview, philstar.com’s editorial staff sought the views of expatriate company executives on the man considered to be one of the greatest pugilists of his era. These expatriate bigwigs took time out of their busy schedules to share their thoughts on Pacquiao and how the once-skinny boxer captured their hearts and made fans out of them.

Second to hit the stands was Mr. Robert Sears, Executive Director of The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines. Mr. Sears, who lived in the Philippines for 29 years already, shares the passion of many Filipinos – boxing and Many Pacquiao.

Click on the video to watch how Mr. Sears, like many of us, became an ardent fan of Manny Pacquiao, and his forecast on the Pacquiao-Margarito tussle on November 14.
