In the press conference of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Segunda Mano, Angelica clarified that she did not curse at the customs officer. However, she confirmed that the incident indeed happened.
Angelica arrived at the Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) along with comedian Pooh after their show in the U.S.
“Palabas na dapat kami ni Pooh and then hinarang kami nung parang [customs officer]. Sabi niya, ‘Ay babayaran n’yo ‘yan, babayaran n’yo ‘yan,’” pertaining to the signature bags.
Angelica further explained that it would be impossible for her to use foul language since there are many onlookers at the airport.
