Antonio Wedding at Discovery Shores
The wedding invitation came in a compact and elegant silver-grey box in three parts: 1st, the invitation itself - Jigger and May, A Celebration Of Love – followed by the weekend itinerary for November 7, 8 and 9, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the wedding taking place at the only church in Boracay, The Holy Rosary Parish on Saturday, November 8, at 2:30pm, and beneath these two was a two-sided guide: On one side, the bridal registry, and on the other, a dress code guide of what to wear on each of the three-day celebration.
I decided to go on three counts: 1st, Joey and Hilda Antonio are good friends and Century Properties has always been a supportive advertiser of The Philippine STAR and The Philippines Yearbook; 2nd, I have not been to Discovery Shores and the wedding venue appeared truly attractive; 3rd, the date of the wedding 11/08/2008 contained all the numbers of my “guardian angel”! So, it was all go, in spite of the fact that I am not a “beach” person, as I much prefer the cool mountain breeze of Tagaytay Highlands.
I thoroughly enjoyed the three-day celebration with the Antonios, and found Jigger and Mae to be very amiable and warm. Hilda Antonio told the guests that after seven girlfriends, she was very happy Jigger chose to settle down with Mae, and you could see the love between Hilda and Mae, which is indeed a blessing for Jigger! I was very pleased to spot Celine Lopez and Heidi Ng among the guests, being both columnists of The STAR. In fact, Heidi was one of the sponsors.
To top it all was the VIP welcome I received from Discovery Shores GM Jun Pareno and Gemma Batoon who shuttles between Discovery Suites and Discovery Shores marketing the two sister properties with enthusiasm. Aside from the ambience and comfort of the junior suite, I was touched to see embroidered in white on my white pillow case the word “Grace”! Imagine, a pillow case made to order just for me! Wow! Can you beat that!?!?
