TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — Lawyer Maria Fe Maloloy-on, president of the Philippine Association of Court Employees, in an interview, told The Freeman that the organization is supportive of the fund drive to provide financial assistance to their fellow court personnel and judges in Marawi City.
Maloloy-on said she has been calling on all national officers and regional directors of PACE to back this campaign as initiated by the Supreme Court's Office of the Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez. She added that she already has the official list of the beneficiaries of the fund drive for Marawi.
Marquez, in his issued OCA Circular No. 126-2017, encouraged all trial court judges and personnel "to conduct (their) own financial aid drive to provide assistance to all those severely affected by the armed conflict in Marawi City."
The Circular was disseminated to all courts in the country via internet and was downloaded by respective courts for further downstream circulation.
Marquez informed that the OCA had opened an account with the Land Bank under the account name "OCA Donations for Marawi Judges and Court Personnel" where the court employees and judges could deposit their financial assistance.
Marquez in same Circular also gave option to judges and court personnel by giving donation as well to internally displaced persons of the armed conflict and to the families of the soldiers killed-in-action.
Specific bank accounts were opened with the Land Bank by the DSWD under the account "DSWD Donation" and the Armed Forces of the Philippines under the account "AFP Marawi Casualty", respectively. (FREEMAN)
