DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines— The Dumaguete City High School will be the host of the Negros Island Region's launching of Brigada Eskwela today (May 13), with Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones as the guest of honor.
Junrey Belando, DCHS advocacy and marketing committee chairman, said the Dumaguete City Schools Division has been chosen as the regional kick-off site for the annual Brigada Eskwela, and the city's school was picked as host because it has a gym big enough to accommodate a big number of visitors.
Belando said the NIR launching will be participated in by DepEd officials, teachers, regional and national officials, representatives of non-government organizations, and parents.
Last year, Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental was host of the regional launching of Brigada Eskwela. (FREEMAN)
