CEBU, Philippines - The Valencia (Negros Oriental) local government launched its biggest tourism campaign on Sunday at Tiera Alta to attract more tourists in time for summer and level-up its tourism activities and programs.
Valencia Tourism Officer Albert Tubal, said the new tourism campaign, dubbed as the "Trade Launch," introduced the Valencia Premiere Cultural Group, consisting of youthful Valencianons, who showed their talents in dancing and singing.
Tubal said also included in the promotional tourism campaign are the Chada Valencia ads, that will shown in local television station.
Vice Mayor Romeo Alviola, for his part, told reporters that the new tourism campaign will help boost the tourism industry and encourage foreign and local tourists to visit the different tourist spots in this town.
Alviola lauded the help of the various organizations, such as the local resort owners, for helping the town's tourism industry. "We have lots of beautiful resorts, good food, and souvenirs," he said.
Valencia has been known as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Negros Oriental. It is popular for its waterfalls–the Casaroro for one, which is said to be the most photographed body of water in Negros Oriental–the mountain-climbing favorite Mount Talinis, several mountain resorts, and plenty of fruits and ornamental plants.
