Bongbong makes final stop in Tacloban

CEBU, Philippines - Vice presidential candidate, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., yesterday visited Tacloban City for his final sortie in Eastern Visayas, which has been the political stronghold of his mother, former First Lady and now Ilocos Norte Representative Imelda Marcos.

Bongbong, enjoying the number one spot in the vice presidential surveys, in a statistical tie with Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo, meet with the local media for a friendly chat, after meeting with his cousin, Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez.

Bongbong told reporters he is now confident that the people, based on the surveys, had already decided to vote for him as the country’s next vice president.

The senator however reminded the people of Region 8 that the Filipinos now need a good and effective leader to address the complex problems hounding the country.

Among the issues he said need urgent solutions are the high incidence of criminality, the continuing spread of illegal drugs, the lack of decent jobs, the high cost of living, lack of support for agriculture, qualify education,  health care, and dwindling power supply.

To solve these, “We need all the sectors of government, not just one party, not just one group, not just one person,” he added. —(FREEMAN)
