TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – The Department of Education had allocated P163.7 million for the construction of 20 classrooms for the senior high schools in the 2nd district of Leyte province.
Governor Dominico Petilla said 12 of these classrooms were already finished, while eight more are now still under construction by the Leyte’s 2nd Engineering District of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
There are 28 classrooms programmed for construction in the 2nd district of Leyte, and these are all expected to be completed by the end of March next year, in time for the entry of Grade 11 students, or senior high schools, here.
The DepEd had allocated another P40 million for additional classrooms in the district, said the governor. (FREEMAN)
