CEBU, Philippines – A Triduum and a diocesan Mass this week will mark the anniversary of super typhoon Yolanda in Borongan City and Guiuan town, all in Eastern Samar province, according to a Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’s report.
With the theme “The Challenge of Yolanda: the Courage to Hope,” the activities aim to remember those who died and survived, and thanked those who helped in the rescue, recovery, rehabilitation, and relief efforts.
A one-hour Vigil Triduum involving a three-day Eucharistic adoration will be held November 5 to 7, then at 6 p.m. on November 8, parish churches and barangay chapels will conduct a simultaneous pealing of church bells.
For nine days from Oct. 30 to Nov. 7, the faithful are requested to recite an Oratio Imperata after each Mass in all parishes and chapels of the diocese. — From the wires
