BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Three detainees bolted the detention cell of the Bago City Police Station in Negros Occidental Thursday evening, but two of them were apprehended the next day.
Superintendent Arnel Arpon, Bago City Police chief, identified the escapees as Giovanne Isubol, 17; Emil Pacheco, 18, both of Barangay Caridad; and Leonardo Ramos, 32, of Barangay Calumangan, all in Bago City.
Isubol and and Pacheco were facing robbery charges while Ramos was charged for theft.
Arpon said the three detainees were at the lock-up cell, awaiting for the court's commitment order that would transfer them to the Negros Occidental District Jail.
Police investigation indicated that one of the detainees used a nailcutter to open the lock of the cell. They immediately fled the police station at about 6:45 p.m. The next day, at 10:30 a.m., the police recaptured Isubol and Pacheco from their barangay. The police are still pursuing the third escapee. — (FREEMAN)
