CEBU, Philippines - The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and the Public Attorney's Office (PAO), both in Bohol province, bagged the Seal of Excellence for 2013 from the Civil Service Commission-Region 7.
CSC Commissioner Robert Martinez conferred the award on GSIS-Bohol Branch Manager Grace Rada and on PAO-Tagbilaran City, represented by lawyer Godfrey Tubo.
Aside from the glass seal, each of the two government offices also received P100, 000 in cash reward.
Martinez said the award recognized the working condition of the agencies, including their competence and dedication to their clients.
"We look forward for them to serve the public even better. We hope that this award would challenge them more to introduce innovations in their systems and processes on how they serve their clients or even how they attend to the complaints of their clients," he added.
The CSC had conducted a Report Card Survey (RCS) to rate the performance of government offices and measure the satisfaction level of clients availing of the agency's frontline services. (FREEMAN)
