CEBU, Philippines - Bohol Gov. Edgar Chatto declared no work in government offices today, as the provincial government made all necessary preparations against typhoon Yolanda.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines meanwhile assured Boholanos that power supply was ready yesterday, with transmission lines set up for quick restoration of electricity when Yolanda strikes.

In Siquijor province, the PDRRMC laid out plans and measures, prepared equipment, vehicles and fuels for response and rescue operations with the help of the police, the BFP, Phil. Red Cross and other volunteers.

DepEd official Earl Aso said public school buildings were put up as evacuation centers, while the National Food Authority here had assured the people of enough supply of rice.  (FREEMAN)
