It’s P2M “pork” per Negros Occ PB member
BACOLOD CITY , Philippines — Each of the 12 Provincial Board members of Negros Occidental will get P2 million for special project allocation, according to Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Lacson, in his memorandum to the PB during its regular session on Wednesday, said this “pork barrel†was part of the P35-million SPA from the P198-million 20-percent development fund of the provincial government.
The three ex-officio members of the PB—presidents of the Association of Barangay Councils, Philippine Councilors League-provincial chapter and SK Federation—will get P1million each, said the vice governor.
It was not immediately known where the remaining P8 million of the SPA will go, but Lacson said the development fund was approved only last June by the preceding PB. (FREEMAN)
