ILOILO CITY, Philippines — The Bureau of Fire Protection-6 will have its two-day Fire Olympics activity along the main streets of this city starting today up to tomorrow to raise awareness of the community on the observance of Fire Prevention Month.
BFP-6 head, Insp. Stephen Jardeleza, said firefighters from six provinces of Western Visayas take part in a series of competition in different venues in the city, with each team having seven members.
Today, firefighters vie in firefighting, vehicular extrication, high angle rescue and water rescue competitions. On Sunday, there will be a mass casualty incident in front of the new Iloilo City Hall building. (FREEMAN)
