TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines – Representative JV Ejercito Estrada of San Juan City in Metro Manila has rated the administration of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III at seven in a scale of one to 10.
JV, son of former President Erap Estrada, breezed into town last Friday, apparently to spread that he is gunning for senator in the 2013 midterm election.
In a press conference, he told the media that he is praising PNoy’s administration in running after the grafters and corrupt in the government to make true his commitment of “daang matuwid” and “Kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap” campaign promises.
The congressman however said the president should work hard to improve the economy and peace and order, besides getting rid of corruption, so the country can move on and improve the lot of the people.
Running under the United Nationalist Alliance of Vice President Jejomar Binay, JV said he will do his best once elected to the Senate. “I have my commitment to Bohol especially on tourism,” he said.
JV ranks third on the latest opinion polling but he said he still has to work hard to get elected to the Senate. He admitted, however, that his being at top five of the survey, he may be the target of “intrigues” and dirty politics that may pull him down, so he’s very careful now. (FREEMAN)
