The characters of Donald Trump, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin

WHAT MATTERS MOST - Atty Josephus Jimenez - The Freeman

The world of 2025 and onward is largely determined by the thoughts, ambitions, prejudices, greed, and perhaps strategic vision of three powerful men, Donald Trump, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin. It is thus very important that we all know their respective characters.

Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York City, and is celebrating his 79th birthday in the middle of this year. He was born at 10:54 A.M. under the sun sign of Gemini and the moon sign of Sagittarius. His rising sign is Leo and his midheaven is in Taurus. As a Gemini, he is quick-witted, gifted in the art of double-talk, has the propensity to be shifty and can change his mind in the blink of an eye. His rising sign, Leo, imbued him with the passion to be a leader, outspoken, proud, and ostentatious. His moon sign, Sagittarius, makes him an entrepreneur.

Trump's ambitions emanate from the major influence of Saturn in his first house, which, ironically, also leads him to be constantly questioning his own identity. The experts say that the goals of a person with a first house Saturn influence include money, power, financial security, and physical satisfaction. The constant internal pressure besetting Trump's emotions is having his sun sign Gemini colliding with his rising sign and ascendant Sagittarius. He has problems convincing people about his sincerity and honesty.

Xi Jinping was born in Beijing on June 15 (a day after Trump) in 1953 (six years after) under the sun sign of Gemini and moon sign of Leo. His rising sign is Virgo and his midheaven is in Gemini. Xi is a Chinese politician who has been the general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and the chairman of the Central Military Commission and therefore China's paramount leader since 2012, for a period of 13 years already. He has been the president of the Peoples' Republic of China since 2013.

Xi is more restrained in speech but has stronger self-control than Trump. Xi does not speak too much unlike Trump but he makes very high-risk decisions without flinching. He has no scruples about making very hard decisions, firing his own friends and approving very risky ventures and pursuing very dangerous decisions in foreign relations and military movements. Xi, along with Putin, are the two most hazardous enemies of the West, including the UN, NATO, EU, and most especially the US.

Vladimir Putin was born on October 7, 1952 in St. Petersburg, and is approaching the age of 73, too young compared to Trump and only a few months older than Xi. He was born under the sun sign of Libra and the moon sign of Gemini. His rising sign is Scorpio and his midheaven is in Leo. Putin, was a former intelligence officer, a government spy. He was president of Russia and held this office from 1998 to 2008. He was prime minister from 2008 to 2012. Then he was elected president in 2012 and held this office until today.

Putin's character makes him an expert in psywar operations. He can create communication packages that can completely mislead his enemies and can lull his rivals into overconfidence. Among Trump, Xi, and Putin, this Russian guy is the most dangerous enemy. He is bullish, tenacious, and has the highest level of ability to withstand all forms of pressures.

To me, one-on-one, Trump can pressure Xi but never Putin. To me, the most dangerous enemy of the West is Putin and the weakest leader to confront the Kremlin under Putin (and I say this with much trepidation but with candor) is Trump. I think the next four years may spell more and more victories for Russia and less and less mileage for the US.

I hope I can be proven wrong. But I can also be right.
