HE GETS IT NOW. After losing his house during the demolition of Lot 937 in Sitio San Miguel, Barangay Apas, Cebu City, a former soldier said he now understands why people turn rebels.

“Biyaan ra man diay ta’g kalit sa gobyerno bisa’g dugay natang nagserbisyo. Kasabot nako ‘ron nganong ubang tawo mahimong rebelde,” he said.

His neighbors, families of former soldiers, found his words hard to stomach but true.
