Big trips for small items

BETTER OFF HERE? A woman who just moved to the US regularly keeps in touch with her family via Zoom. During one such call, she was asked what her biggest problem there was. Her answer was surprising; she cannot get basic grocery items easily as the closest convenience store was a bus ride away.

“Wa diay sari-sari store diha? Maypa diay mi diri,” her young niece said.

The adults couldn’t help but laugh at her comment.
