THAT WAS FOODA. Now that the management of Fooda announced it was closing, some people, particularly old-timers, are recalling their memories of that place.
An EAR source said that during its heyday in the ’80s it was the only place in the area to buy certain foods or groceries not sold anywhere else. Another said it was where they stopped to have snacks on Sundays after spending time in the skating rink that used to be behind it.
“Sayang sirado na,” the source said.
