President Sergio Osmeña’s appointees in Cotabato
Don Sergio Suico Osmeña Sr., the only Cebuano who became president, led the rebuilding of the country from damage caused by the war. Cotabato was part of the Department of Mindanao and Sulu established by the Americans in 1914. When Antonio Minoza, municipal president of Argao, Cebu was designated as deputy governor, Argaoanons migrated to the provinces comprising the department.
