Voter’s perspective

READERS' VIEWS - The Freeman

Few days from now we will exercise our right to vote. The suffrage that every Filipino people enjoys is not only for the rich but also for the poor. This is the undertaking oftentimes abused by the politicians, creating a pandemonium depose of the entire country and the root cause of extensive outcry of the injustice and unsatisfied few, to mention are the Filipino victims of this so-called political turmoil.

Politicians are among the most clever figures in our society today that will employ muddy tactics just to convince our people to be voted during election day, they will use every inch of opportunity to blindfold a certain Mr. Juan De La Cruz ,just to secure one of the silver chairs of different elective positions in the government. Modus operandi in all aspects are applied using the three Gs: Gold, Goons, and Guns. Massive vote buying, diverting government funds for nonsense projects (corruption) and even horrible threatening to voters as well as killing an innocent Juan De La Cruz.

People have been the victims of these unscrupulous acts for many years, Filipinos are just puppets of the few but yet powerful demonic politicians that are enjoying the fruits yielded by every citizen in this country without any single travail. Mr. Juan De La Cruz is the unknown hero who serves not our country but also those abusive individuals (politicians) and is just a victim of the false concept, not thinking that part and parcel of their wealth coming from the taxes of our countrymen. Sad to note that we Filipinos are just fried with our own oil. Politicians claim that their wealth are the results of their labor. We don’t owe them a single centavo. It is just a black propaganda of the politicians that the taxes being paid by our own people are used in accordance with the law, but in reality there is corresponding a long practiced of SOP, as they go along particularly with all government projects and some government transactions. This is the most easy way to pocket the taxes of a certain Juan De La Cruz who just a mere citizen crawling in a sphere of poverty.

Poverty in our country can never be resolved unless our leaders will bring us to an honest governance, with the level of integrity and all the virtues of being a public servant. We should entrust our future to a leader whom we think has a heart of gold that can manage government’s money with utmost sincerity. The government’s money is our money, it’s the people’s money that a certain Juan De La Cruz may enjoy, the taxes we paid is for us to be used to augment our lives in this noisy battlefield of uncertainties.

We cannot deny the fact that, poverty is our main problem, it is the main cause of different crimes committed by Mr. Juan De La Cruz in our society today, the poor Mr. Juan De La Cruz is the concrete example of this mismanaged gem of a country caused by the monsters out there --the evil politicians (except honest politicians).

My friends, on election day choose the right man to be our hero to pull Mr. Juan De La Cruz from the pool of poverty and suffering. It is in our hands that lies the future of the Filipino People ,the future of our country and let us show to the whole world that Philippines was once a great country of high honor and dignity that can never be twisted with times and demonic acts.
