BU-ING. A Pinay had to “extend” her vacation in Brazil after she was delayed going back to the US where she works. The reason? US aviation authorities decided to ground Boeing 737 MAX planes after two crashes within five months. The plane she was due to fly back in was one a Boeing 737 MAX.

“Don’t ride those new Boeings,” she told relatives here in the Philippines.

“Don’t worry, none of our airlines have that,” one of them said, “they can’t afford them.”
