Subdivision in jeopardy

LOTS OF DISPUTE. A man told The EAR he narrowly averted financial disaster after deciding not to buy a lot in an up-and-coming subdivision.

He said from the beginning the deal was really promising, the subdivision was in a choice location and lots were being sold cheap. However, he said the deal seemed too easy and good to be true so he backed out.

Eventually he found out that the future subdivision was built on a lot still in dispute. The project was ground to a halt, but not after some others paid millions buying lots already.
