Parlay voo fransay?

WE. A stall owner in an uptown mall told The EAR three foreigners recently stopped to examine her display of native snacks. One of them began explaining to her companions in rapid French that the snacks were coconut cake, empanada, lumpia, etc.

Without breaking stride, the foreigner then turned to the owner saying, “pila man ni ‘day?” in an accent totally common with Visayan speakers.

The stall owner was caught off-guard.

“Puti man to siya pero kamao man mo-Bisaya. Nakalitan g’yud ko,” she said.
