Euro4 engine for PUJs?

Euro “Poor” engine. Why exactly are many PUJ drivers and operators against the planned modernization? It’s because of the requirements to have new jeepneys installed with Euro4-compliant engines. Many private vehicles don’t even have that yet, according to an auto repair shop owner.

The good news is that you can now get a second-hand or refurbished Euro4 engine in the Philippines. The bad news is that it costs at least P150,000.

“Pwede pa na momahal og samot,” the repair shop owner told The EAR.

How good is a Euro4-compliant engine? There is almost no smell, no emission coming from the back of those vehicles.
