Plus 50 percent because of holiday

A woman who got into an accident yesterday and needed an immediate operation was shocked when she was told the hospital would be charging her an additional 50 percent of the cost of the operation. The reason? It was a holiday yesterday – Rizal Day. The hospital insisted that it was their policy, take it or leave it.

ADVICE. The woman said she had no choice but to take it. Her advice to her friends? Don’t get into an accident on holidays. However, if it happens to you, schedule any procedures on other days to save you from additional expenses.
