Tricycle driver speaks English

THE EAR - The Freeman

EXPRESS. Although not all Filipinos can express themselves in English, almost everybody makes an effort to be understood.

DRIVER. A tricycle driver, having mistaken a Pinoy who had boarded his vehicle to be Japanese, asked "Where are you? What he actually meant was "Where to?" or "Where would you want me to take you?"

BOSSING. The Pinoy replied, "Naa ra ko sa imong luyo (Right behind you), bossing."
