Playing safe

PLAYING SAFE. A family of three in a coastal barangay in Talisay are trying to play safe against a possible storm surge. Each of them has been wearing a life jacket (like those on interisland ships). Father, mother and their 12-year-old daughter were seen walking to church Friday (Dec. 5/14) with their life jackets on.

FUNNY. The father said to our Ear informer they might look funny to people but they’re just trying to protect their lives. “Gihapak na ra ba mi og dakong bawod nga kalit misulbong ... hapit mi nanga-anud... atol sa miaging usa ka bagyo,” he said.
