Presidential appointees for Cebu in 1950

Elpidio Rivera Quirino became president on April 18, 1948 and won his election and held the position until December 30, 1953.

He made the following appointments for Cebu in 1950 to the following:

Anatolio Ynclino appointed as provincial assessor of Cebu on April 25, 1950. Anatolio was from Boljoon, he was admitted to the Bar on April 4, 1949.

Felipe B. Pareja appointed as Cebu City treasurer on April 25, 1950.

Genaro Ursal appointed as city assessor on April 25, 1950.

Appointed as Councilors of Pinamungajan, Cebu on April 10, 1950: Pablo Jadormeo and Mamerto Nebra.

Doctor Alejandro C. Baltazar appointed as Cebu City health officer on February 21, 1950.

Estanislao Roble appointed as councilor of Danao, Cebu on February 13, 1950.

Pedro S. Najarro appointed as assistant chief of police of Cebu City on March 10, 1950.

Pedro Elizalde appointed as provincial treasurer on March 21, 1950. A year later, Elizalde was appointed by President Quirino as Cebu City mayor.  He was mayor from August 16, 1951 to July 23, 1952.

Alejandro R. Ecarma appointed as 3rd assistant Fiscal of Cebu City on March 21, 1950.   Ecarma, became a lawyer on November 13, 1933. Lawyer Ecarma also served as Municipal Judge of Tuburan, Cebu and Naval, Leyte now Province of Biliran. He retired from government service on March 13, 1972 at the age of 67.

Nicolas Delago appointed as councilor of Naga, Cebu on March 17, 1950.

In 1950 (they signed their roll of attorneys on May 16, 1950, as those who passed the bar examinations after taking their oath before the members of the Supreme Court has to sign the roll of attorneys) Cebu also produced the following lawyers:

Alejandro A. Abarquez of Talisay, Cebu.

Lawyer Abarquez was one of the legal counsels of a person who was prosecuted for illegal possession of firearms. The accused was also earlier convicted for the crime of homicide and they invoked double jeopardy. The conviction was however sustained by the Supreme Court on November 13, 1952. The fellow counsels of Lawyer Abarquez of the case were lawyers, Primitivo N. Sato and Jose P. Alino.

Cesar M. Cabahug  of Mandaue, Cebu.

The Looc Elementary School in Mandaue City was renamed after him. A son and namesake (Cesar Jr.) was elected councilor of Mandaue City during the term of Mayor Alfredro M. Ouano.

Generoso Jaca of Moalboal, Cebu.

Lawyer Jaca became councilor of Cebu City for several years.

Jesus E. Zabate of Cebu City.

Lawyer  Zabate was later appointed as acting treasurer of Cebu City.
