"Undas"

THE EAR - The Freeman

"UNDAS". Because they often hear this word ("undas") on TV during the yearly observance of All Souls and All Saints Days, Cebuanos, even in the distant barangays, now call the traditional "kalag-kalag" celebration "undas". BROADCAST. A mediaman, our Ear informer, said the popularity of the word "undas" is the result of the influence of broadcasting which he said "reaches even the jungles where Tarzan lives."
