Citizen's arrest

THE EAR - The Freeman

SHOES. There is a new law which requires a motorcycle rider not only to wear a crash helmet but also to wear shoes. One mid-afternoon a traffic enforcer riding on a motorbike apprehended a motorcyclist along Bacalso Avenue for wearing rubber slippers (known as "ismagol").

ARREST. The traffic enforcer said he was arresting the motorcyclist for not wearing shoes. The enforcer must've forgotten that he, too, was also wearing slippers.

DARED. Seeing the enforcer also not wearing shoes, the motorcyclist dared the enforcer to arrest him. "Arestahon ta sab ka under the principle of citizen's arrest kay nakasinelas man sad ka," the motorcyclist threatened the enforcer. There were no arrests on both violators.
