NTC: Exposing the sins of Pres. Aquino!

The National Transformation Council  which was held at the Mariner's Court in ALU Compound last Wednesday afternoon, was a huge success. It began with a Holy Mass officiated by our beloved Eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal and assisted by Archbishop of Lipa Arch. Ramon Argüelles, Fr. Romeo "Archie" Integan, Fr. Ramon Ofredo, Fr. John Orat, and Bishop Romulo dela Cruz of Zamboanga. As always, major events of the NTC always begin with a Holy Mass.

The air was solemn as everyone on the floor who was not Catholic, like our evangelical pastors and Muslims showed all their respect for the Catholic rite. This gives us an idea that truly, we are one people under one God. Master of ceremonies, former Sen. Francisco "Kit" Tatad, acknowledged all the attendees who came from all over the country, many of whom came from the troubled areas of Muslim Mindanao. Eid Kabalu, former spokesman of the MILF, was also there as a speaker against the Bangsamoro Peace Process, not because he didn't want peace, but because the Philippine government never consulted all the Muslim groups.

I was tasked to give a situationer of our present problems in the country. I was only given ten minutes, but I probably exceeded my time because we just have too many problems in our country today. But when it was the turn of his eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal to speak, he didn't mince any words saying of Pres. Benigno Aquino III "He has damaged the moral fabric of the society, and has therefore lost the moral right to lead the nation.  The Assembly called upon the incumbent to relinquish his position now."

This is because the NTC already knows how Pres. Aquino misused the unconstitutional Disbursement Acceleration Program funds to bribe some 80 congressmen and the majority of our senators just to convict former Chief Justice Renato Corona. Cardinal Vidal added, "He subverted and violated" the Constitution by corrupting congress, intimidating the judiciary, taking over the Treasury, manipulating the automated voting system, and perverting the constitutional impeachment process."

There were two very important speakers last Wednesday afternoon. The first was Rev. Greco Beligica who apparently was the main petitioner who filed the cases against the DAP and the Priority Development Assistance Program a.k.a. pork barrel system which the Supreme Court both declared as unconstitutional. When the audience learned about this, Rev. Belgica was given a standing ovation.

Belgica is not a common name and I knew a notorious character in the 1970's called Butch Belgica, so I asked Greco if he was related to that man… and he was very honest to admit that Butch Belgica is his father. He told me about his father's notorious life with Bing Bong Crisologo which earned both of them long prison sentences. But in prison, they discovered our Lord Jesus Christ and Belgica became a Born Again Christian and pastor. Somehow he has changed his ways after he was released from prison and I would like to say that his story is one of a real transformation. Their story is proof that something good can come out of a bad person.

Greco Belgica's power point report told us that the Supreme Court decision literally said that everyone involved in the DAP should be indicted for the crimes. Yet the Department of Justice refuses to arrest or indict, but apparently there is a massive failure of Justice here. What we are seeing is DMB Sec. Florencio "Butch" Abad accepting speeches so he could explain that the DAP was legal. In short, he accused the Aquino government of high crimes in using the DAP.

The other speaker was equally important to our cause. He was Atty. Glenn Chiong, former congressman of Biliran Island. His power point presentation was the first time that most of the audience saw the extent of the massive electronic cheating that the Commission on Elections poised on the Filipino people using the Electronic Dagdag Bawas. He even used a barangay in Lapu-Lapu as one of his examples. He also gave examples of the election returns of Bro. Eddie Villanueva and PNoy's aunt Margarita "Ting Ting" Cojuangco who was amongst the audience.

In the end, Atty. Glenn Chiong accused the COMELEC of subverting the Filipino's power to change their leaders through the power of the ballot because now they could use the Precinct Count Optical Scan  to change the outcome of the elections.

At the end of the event, Arch. Ramon Arguelles demanded that the Aquino government officials relinquish their positions. He used the word relinquish because he considers them as officials. So our next column will talk about the Cebu Declaration that came out of the NTC Summit.
