It says here that 12 policemen are involved in “hulidap” (holdup-kidnap) in Metro Manila.

Everyone now is talking about these “dirty cops”–  they who’re giving the underworld characters stiff competition. Talk of unfairness in one’s profession.

A foundation under the name of Don Sergio Osmeña seeks to produce better breed of politicians in Cebu  and the entire country. This needs the full support of everyone fed up with the kind of politicians we’ve been having.

The object is praiseworthy. But I’ve been asked: “Isn’t this what they call ‘suntok sa buwan.”

Speaking of politicians, this article here says: “Kissing babies is still in vogue among our policticians as election gimmick.”

OK lang, this gimmick. But it could be a risky thing if the candidate doesn’t watch out and keeps kissing babies including the grown up ones.

It says here that the Philippines may boycott the coming Asian Games if Andray Blatche would not be allowed to play. A fellow mediaman asked me on the phone what I thought of this news, I told him what I thought and he said:

A bakery owner says “bakery products  are mostly  within the reach of the average consumer. He said pan de sal, for instance, is the main staple of most Pinoys within or below the poverty line.

I think he’s right. In my place a store selling pan de sal runs  out of stock as early as 6 a.m. “ Abi nimo, Sir,  bisan mga taga slums baratohan  sa pan de sal kay asa man ka naka painit og two pesos nga pagkaon,” the pan seller said.

Comment: “Ingon sa spokesman sa Malacañang kahatagan na ug puy-anan ang  mga biktima sa di pa mahuman ang tuig. Naa kunoy pundo.” Comment: Nganong karon pa man na lihuka ang puy-anan sa mga biktima. May pundo man kaha?” Comment: “Kay karon pa man sila birahi sa media.”
