BRIGADA. During the Brigada Eskuwela activity in a public school on Osmeña Blvd. two Caucasian men (Americans, it turned out) in short maong pants were seen helping welders fix a rusty steel gate of the school. In the afternoon they were seen painting the celling of another school with some teachers assisting them.
GOOD IDEA. One of the two Americans --who it was learned were married to Pinays-- said: "This Brigada Eskuwela is a good idea." He planned to introduce it to a brother who works in a public school in the Marianas. The Americans, according to an Ear informer, appeared to enjoy their work as volunteers as they kept joking with the teachers.
